About Silver's Metal Co.

Silver’s Metal Co. was founded and established by Steve "TZVI" Silverstein in 1996. Steve's start in the scrap metal industry dates back to 1967. Prior to 1996, Steve worked for various other metal recycling companies. After nearly 30 years of working for other people, Steve decided to go into business for himself. Being family owned and operated affords us the flexibility to tend to our customers needs in a personal and efficient manner. We have developed into a multi-location company servicing both retail and wholesale customers. Between ownership, management and staff, we have well over 100 years of combined experience and knowledge in the metal recycling industry.

Our processing facility along with our knowledgeable, trained and dedicated staff, state certified scales and metallurgical testing tools, enables Silver’s to facilitate a spectrum of services. Our processing capabilities include various types of equipment and machinery. Our centralization provides easy access to all major freeways and interstates permitting us to service your needs in a prompt and effective fashion.

In August 2007, Silver’s added a non ferrous retail location, 8 Mile Recycling to its operations. 8 Mile Recycling is located in Hazel Park, MI. 8 Mile Recycling is a drop-off only facility and is open to the public servicing both residential as well as commercial customers. 8 Mile Recycling offers quick and efficient services with prompt payment at the time of drop-off.
